Bethany Galguera, CPA, is the founder and owner of Innovative Accounting. Her experience in accounting with small businesses started early, helping her parents manage their small business at just 15 years old. She later earned her accounting degree and began her professional career at age 21, later building on that early foundation to create a firm focused on more than just compliance.
Bethany works closely with her team on financial statement reviews, tax preparation, and complex accounting and tax matters for their clients. She leads tax strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and advisory services, ensuring clients receive proactive guidance that helps them make better decisions and build businesses that support the life they want.
Building a fully virtual firm has allowed Bethany to design a life centered around freedom and flexibility. Since 2022, she and her husband have spent a large portion of their time living in Thailand, where they are actively involved in volunteer education work and have participated in disaster relief efforts, including supporting communities affected by severe flooding in southern Thailand. This flexibility allows her to balance meaningful work, time with family, and a lifestyle that wouldn’t be possible in a traditional firm setting—while continuing to provide exceptional service to her clients.
Bethany considers both Lexington, KY and Thailand home, splitting her time between the two throughout the year. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, watching cooking competitions, and cooking—recently getting into making sourdough bread. She and her husband are avid food lovers who enjoy trying new restaurants and traveling whenever they can.
